Peaches & Cream - My first kit!

My very first kit is all done!! I'm kind of nervous. I hope you like it! It's called Peaches & Cream.

I also made two alphas to go with it:

This kit includes
-13 papers
-2 full alphas (one small and elegant, one big & chunky)
-3 stamped metal brads
-2 real flowers
-3 rectangular frames
-2 scalloped metal oval frames
-4 pieces of glittery bling (1 flower, 3 swirls)
-2 oval journaling blocks (with a separate lined png)
-2 metal flowers
-1 circle reed frame
-3 straight satin ribbons
-4 ricrac ribbons
-4 stamps (1 flower, 3 swirls)
-2 tags (with a separate twine loop to put through them)
-1 torn-edged heart
-2 twine frame-wraps

All in all, that's 37 elements!! I hope you like them!

In case you're not convinced yet, here are some layouts my unofficial CT made for me ahead of time! Thank you so much, ladies! Click on the previews to see a larger version of the LOs.
Kaelira did three pages for me! Two are for an alphabet book she's making for her baby girl, and on the third, she used my template 06! Be sure to stop by her blog and check out her downloads too! She makes awesome templates. Thanks Kae!

Elly made a gorgeous page featuring pics of herself and her son. Isn't it sweet? Can you believe this is one of her FIRST digiscrap pages? It looks awesome! Thanks Elly!

Kristan made a two page layout -- her first 2-pager ever! I think it looks fantastic! Thanks Kristan!

Funky Alpha

Just a quickie freebie for you today. Long story short: Some of the ladies on the mommy-forum I go to really liked the chunky alpha I made for my last layout. I e-mailed Juno to ask if I could make it a real alpha and distribute, but did not hear back from her yet (I'm not certain I used the right email address). At any rate, I decided to make a similar alpha, without using her paper, but using the same color scheme and style. So this is a Juno Pretty Funky inspired alpha. It will coordinate perfectly with her Pretty Funky kit from Sunshine Studios Mission 2 if you have it, but if you don't, I'm sure you can find a use for it anyway. ;)

Pretty Funky Alpha
This is a nice painted-wood-looking alpha using the font "Gill Sans Ultra Bold." Let me know what you think :)

Enjoy~ And come back in a few days! My first kit is done! I'm just waiting to get a couple of layouts done and it'll be up!

A Day in the Life and Template 11

This is my entry for a challenge on the mommy-forum I go to. I love how it turned out! It's a two-pager, and in this case I think it looks best if you see it all together, so here's the whole spread first:

Left page:

Right page:

Journal text may be too small to read on the web, but it's big enough to be legible when printed. I also doodled on the pages a little bit. ^_^

Atomic Cupcake actions - painted wood, sponged ink edge, wild tear, rub on, sanded edge

And since I like y'all so much (and since it's been so long since I gave you a freebie!) here's a template I made from this LO!

Template 11
This is a two-page template; the elements are included for visual interest; you don't have to use them. They are on their own layers, so easily removable. I have also included wonky shadows for the images (not for the journal pages unfortunately), which, again, are easily toggled off if you prefer to make your own. Please remember to read the TOU, and comment here if you like the template! :) Also, I'd love to see any layouts you make from my templates! No one has shown me any yet. :(
6/11/09 - This template has been updated and now includes both the original PSD and new PNG files.

Thanks for looking~ keep checking back here -- I've got a very special freebie in the works. My first actual kit! I promise it won't be too much of an eyesore ;) Here's a little teaser for you - my color palette:

CT: Love Letter

Hey all~ I have a kit to show you today. It's called Love Letter, by Simply Susan Godfrey. I am behind the times -- this is a lovely Valentine's Day kit, and V-day is already over. But it was still fun! Here's the kit -- click the preview to go check it out in her shop!

And here are my LOs using this kit, combined with a template by my very dear friend Kaelira (link below). This is a 2-page layout, meant to be viewed side-by-side in a photobook or scrapbook, but I didn't do a two-page preview because once again, it's pretty obvious how they go together. ;)

About Kimi and Template 10

This time I'm doing it in the proper order -- LO and related template in the SAME POST. In the past I've been posting the LO way before the template, or not at all (like in the case of #09, which is still not finished). Aaaaanyway. This time around, you can see the potential of the template right away. ;) This LO was for a challenge at a mommy-forum.

kit - How Sweet It Is by Jessica Edwards (still available a few posts down)
fonts - A Little Pot, Aquiline, ITC New Baskerville, Tracy.
And now for the freebie...

Template 10
This one has 7 pictures, with mats included and pretty little tabs on a few of them for adding your own little notes (liberal use of the select+delete tools will easily remove the tabs if you don't like them). I have not included shadows in this template.
6/11/09 - This template has been updated and now includes both the original PSD and new PNG files.

Please comment if you like it, feedback is always appreciated!! And don't forget to read the TOU ;)

Happy Valentine's Day!!

Template 09

So, I've been playing with this template but I'm too excited to make a full LO before I post it! It is just too much fun not to share. This is another template inspired by Simply Yin Designs, this time including wonky shadows like she does! They are easy to toggle off if you don't like them. Also, as you can see, it's a two-pager! Have fun with it! I would love to see your LO's if you use this template for them. :)

End of the week~

This concludes my week of free templates. Don't worry, it's not over! I probably won't be such a stickler about getting something up every single day, and I'll probably branch out to other types of freebies, but this has been a fun week! Come back soon for more!

Template 08
This one is just fun. You can see it in action a few posts back, on my CT LO for "Number the Stars." Rounded corners, mats, and ta-daaaaaa~ shadows included! (You can toggle them off though, if you prefer to make your own.)

Scrappy Saturday

I've been having so much fun scrapping this week I'm pretty much neglecting everything else. Well, almost. I did manage to make a baby quilt this week for my son's first birthday. I can't believe my baby is one!! Gotta love those frosting-smeared cheeks though. I'll make a LO just for that, eventually.

Template 07
My first two-pager! It loops around in a layout with 9 pictures (I seem to like that number!) and has a few butterfly elements you can either fill with papers of your choosing or delete. ;) My first CT layout a few posts back shows one way this template can be used. Please comment if you'd like to see more like this! And remember to come back tomorrow for another free template.

Happy Friday!!

TGIF!! Time for my favorite template so far! Thank you all for the wonderful comments. I appreciate every single one of them. I'm new at this; it's good to know someone's out there and likes what they see. So please, continue to leave me C&C, and don't forget to read my TOU ;)

Template 06
I've been so excited to release this one! You can layer in lots of different papers, or you can put a photo in the space in the heart, or do like I did and do one photo in the biggest puzzle piece. I've included stitches around the heart and a little puzzle-button template you can fill with your favorite paper or texture. If you use the Bevel and Emboss layer style judiciously, you can make it look just like a real button! :)

CT: Number the Stars

Hey guys! I have another kit to show off by Simply Susan Godfrey! It's called "Number the Stars," and it's awesome for pictures of little boys (probably girls too, I just don't have any of those)! Check it out by clicking the preview below:

Here are my layouts using this kit:

Cute, huh? All elements and papers are from the "Number the Stars" kit, except for the yellowy alpha, which is from the kit "Sunporch" by Scrapity Scrap Designs. Oh, and that second adorable layout? That's Template 08. Come back in a few days to gra it for yourself!

And because I'm impatient, I'm going to be nice and release a second free template today!

Template 05
This one's pretty simple, just two pictures. White frames are included! :) Please leave me some love if you like it, and come back tomorrow for another freebie!

Thursday!

Digifree found me! I'm so excited! My other templates already have 20+ downloads. Looks like you guys are loving the Simply-Yin inspired one the best, and I don't blame ya - that's my favorite so far, too. Ready for another one? Here we go...

Template 04
Simple and clean, frameless, with rounded edges. There's room for 8 pictures, or you can alternate pictures with little panels of pretty paper! Remember to leave me some love if you like it, and please read the TOU! :)
6/12/09 - This template has been updated and now includes both the original PSD and new PNG files.

Thanks for looking~ I'll be back tomorrow with a few layouts to show off (including another CT one, I hope) and another template freebie!

Template 03

Iiiiiit's Wednesday! Which means, as promised, another freebie for you! Not that anyone is reading this yet... but still yay, right? Someday Digifree will find me, and then maybe people will find my templates and leave me some C&C. :D I can dream, right?

Template 03
This is a very simple template; I used this page in my photobook for my parents. It was a monthly layout thing and works well for a lot of pictures that are similar. You can fit 9 photos in there. :) Once again, this includes both a PSD file and a PNG, and please remember to read the TOU!

First CT Layout!! :)

This is my very first layout as a member of the creative team for Simply Susan Godfrey! I used her kit, "Pocketful Of Posies," and a piece from another of her kits, "Love Letter." Here's the preview for the main kit I used (click the image to go check it out in her shop!):

And here's my LO! It's a two-page layout, using pictures from Richie's first Easter, at 10 months old. Not real Easter-y, but I love the pictures.
The template for this layout will be released as a freebie later this week!

Scrappin' Away

So, I should probably put some actual DIGISCRAP here on my digiscrap blog, no? :) I have made a bunch of layouts, some awesome, some pretty crappy. Here are just a few of my favorites, done for challenges at my favorite mommy-forum. In the future I'll try to remember to post my photobook pages as well. Please let me know if these are too wide for my blog. They should be all right, but you never know...

Let's Make a Splash!
One of my first challenge pieces. SUCH a fun kit to play with! Someday I will expand this into a two-page layout.

Picture layout: Simply Yin Template 51, modified
Fonts: Curlz MT, Freeze!, and Tingle Institute
Rub-on, Medium Tear, Small Torn Edges, and Stiched edges actions from Atomic Cupcake

All other elements, brushes, papers, etc, from "Refresh" Kit by Scrap Girls, LLC

Grandma's House
Another challenge layout. I think I actually hosted this challenge. *lol*

Credits:
Papers and elements: Cherry Moka kit
Wild Tear action by Atomic Cupcake
Template by Karah Fredricks
Fonts: Sandals (journaling), Ravie (Grandma's), Oh (Photo) Shoot! for "House"

Path in the Woods
This needs a better title/theme, but I enjoyed playing with the kit and I like the overall feel of it. The layout's just not dynamic enough. Hrm.

Kit: Queen For A Day by Genia Beana Scraps
Fonts: Gentle Redhead, Everytime I Miss You (appropriate, no?)
AC Silver action

Adorable
This one was for a "Numbers" challenge. 4 papers, 3 fasteners, only 2 pictures, only 1 word in the title. I dug up some oooooold pictures of my eldest and had a blast! My first fun-with-strippy-papers layout. :D

Fonts: Impervious (Adorable) Prissy Frat Boy (date)

Piece of my Heart
This is my first page for Simply Susan Godfrey, using her "Be Mine" minikit. SUCH a fun kit to work with! I joined her CT and am totally excited to make more pages for her!!
The template for this page will be listed here on my blog later this week! Stay tuned!

And now, since you've been so good, and since it's technically Tuesday, and since I just can't wait until morning to post this -- here's another freebie template for you!
Template 02
Fun with bubbles! This is a clean, simple template for 7 pictures. Could work well for Project 365. :) As before, this includes both a PSD file and a PNG version. Please remember to read the TOU, and leave a comment here if you like it! :)

Thanks for coming by to visit~ I'll be adding a template a day over the next week, so come back soon! And please, please comment if you like them! Motivate me to keep going. ;)

Happy Scrapping!

Creation (Kreation?)

There. Now I can say I have a digiscrap blog. Kimi's (Scrap) Kreations is up and running! I've got personal scrapping to post, CT layouts for Simply Susan Godfrey, and the best part -- freebies! Not much in the kit department yet, although I'm working on that; but I have 5 or 6 templates all ready to go. I just have to work up a TOU and package them up for delivery. Oh, and register on Digifree. And 4Shared. Phew, there's a lot to do!

I can't wait to get started.
